About the Institute
Al-Khair University was a private university established in 1994 and based in Bhimber, Azad Jammu & Kashmir. It was one of Pakistan's earliest private universities but became the subject of repeated Higher Education Commission sanctions and court orders after being widely reported in Pakistani media as a 'degree mill' that sold unearned degrees. Multiple court rulings required it to stop admitting students, cease awarding degrees, and close unauthorized campuses.
