About the Institute
Established in 1910 in fulfillment of the will of philanthropist Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, who bequeathed buildings in Lahore and land in Amritsar to fund the institution. It operates as a graduate and postgraduate college offering programs in sciences, commerce, and arts, and is part of a wider Dayal Singh Trust that also runs a public library in Lahore. Notable former principal Sadhu T.L. Vaswani served from 1912 to 1915.
