About the Institute
Founded on 13 April 1920 as Government College, Multan, it was renamed Government Emerson College in 1933 in honour of Sir Herbert William Emerson, then Governor of Punjab. The college relocated to a larger campus on Bosan Road in 2021 and, the same year, was reconstituted as a degree-awarding university (Emerson University Multan) under the Emerson University Multan Act 2021.
