About the Institute
Government Gordon College traces its origins to 1856 with the Christian Grammar High School at Raja Bazar, and was established as a church school in 1893 (named after Andrew Gordon). It became a degree college in 1902, added science courses in 1904, and was nationalized in 1972. The college now offers co-educational BS-level programs alongside its historic intermediate and degree courses.
