About the Institute
Government Viqar-un-Nisa Women University is a public women's university in Rawalpindi, originally founded in the early 1950s by Begum Viqar-un-Nisa Noon as a women's college. It was upgraded to university status in 2021 and offers postgraduate programs in chemistry, physics, zoology, applied psychology, and Islamic studies in both Urdu and English.
