About the Institute
A public college whose foundation was laid in Bahawalpur state's Town Hall in 1948, moving to its present building in 1954 and becoming a degree college in 1962; it is named after the Sufi poet Khawaja Ghulam Fareed. Note: sources place this college's campus in Rahim Yar Khan (Bahawalpur division) rather than Bahawalpur city itself. It offers FA/FSc/ICS at intermediate level (boys only), and co-educational BA/BSc, BS and postgraduate programs, affiliated with the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, with roughly 7,000 students on a 40-acre campus.
