About the Institute
King Edward Medical University (KEMU), Lahore, was founded in 1860 as the Lahore Medical School, renamed King Edward Medical College in 1911, and elevated to university status in 2005. It is the oldest medical institution in Pakistan and among the oldest in South Asia, affiliated with Mayo Hospital and other major teaching hospitals in Lahore.
