About the Institute
Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences traces its origins to the Sindh Medical School founded in Hyderabad in 1881, which was reorganized as Liaquat Medical College in 1951 and upgraded by Sindh government ordinance in 2001 to become the country's first public-sector medical university. It offers MBBS, BDS, nursing, physiotherapy, and postgraduate medical programs, and is affiliated with Liaquat University Hospital.
