About the Institute
Founded in 1889 by Church of Scotland missionaries as Scotch Mission College (building on an 1868 mission high school), the college was renamed for donor Captain John Murray and nationalised by the Government of Pakistan in 1972. It is the alma mater of poets Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Faiz Ahmad Faiz.
