About the Institute
UET Lahore traces its origin to the Mughalpura Technical College founded in 1921, making it the oldest engineering institution in Pakistan. It became a full university in 1962 and was renamed University of Engineering and Technology in 1972, and remains one of Pakistan's most selective public engineering universities with around 25,000 students.
