About the Institute
The University of Peshawar is a public research university founded in 1950, the first public university established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and among the oldest and largest in the province. Its foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan, and the university today spans a 1,045-acre urban campus with roughly 14,000 students. It is recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
